Protected Campus
Committed to Excellence
Ensuring Safety, Supporting Learning
At Delaware Valley Classical School, the safety of our students, faculty, and families is our highest priority. Our campus is carefully designed and staffed to provide a secure environment where students can pursue truth, goodness, and beauty. Families can have confidence that student well-being remains our top priority, supported by professional protection and layered security measures.
Commissioned Constable on Duty
A licensed, armed constable who is a nationally certified school resource officer (NASRO) with the authority to detain and arrest is stationed on campus throughout the school day and at major events. He holds a commission in the State of Delaware and serves as a certified firearms instructor for the Delaware and Pennsylvania State Police, as well as federal law enforcement. His presence underscores our commitment to ensuring the safety of our school.
Layered Safety Measures
Our approach to safety combines multiple layers of protection:
- Full-time, licensed armed constable stationed on campus
- Controlled access inside and outside our building
- 24/7 video surveillance and electronic monitoring across campus
- On-site training and security consultation with the Delaware State Police
- Close coordination with local law enforcement
- Regular emergency preparedness drills for students and staff
